GEDRI Project:
Relational Database of Information on Potential Endocrine Disrupters (REDIPED)

    0. Country: United Kingdom

    1. Sponsor Organization: Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs

    2. Project Title: Relational Database of Information on Potential Endocrine Disrupters (REDIPED)

    3. Project Focus:

    • Project Primary Focus: Human Health Effects
    • Project Secondary Focus: Exposure Assessment

    4. Description:

A relational database is being developed to enable access to data on potential endocrine disrupters that will assist the process of prioritising chemicals for regulatory action and aid in the identification of knowledge gaps. Data include physicochemical properties, chemical fate and behaviour, environmental degradation, exposure assessment and biological activity, cited from peer-reviewed references. REDIPED currently holds information on 79 chemicals and will be available for general use by 2002.
