Statement of Work Carpet Installation Services

INTRODUCTION

The National Science Foundation (NSF) occupies approximately 502,000 square feet of office space in the following locations:

  1. Stafford Place – 4201 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington Virginia 22230
  2. Stafford Place II – 4121 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington Virginia 22230

This Service Agreement applies to professionally installed carpet and related services to include carpet tile, broadloom, padding, cove base and transition strips at Stafford Place and Stafford Place II. 

PROCEDURES

NSF will fax or email work order to vendor describing the work to be done and available service date(s) based on room availability.  Work orders will be assigned a Call Number, by which work orders shall be tracked.

Vendor shall site survey and verify existing conditions and measurement prior to submitting a quote. If the cost to do the work exceeds $2,500, NSF will issue a separate purchase order to pay for the work.  The contractor(s) shall proceed with the work if the cost to do the work is $2,500 or less.

The contractor(s) shall report to the NSF Reception & Information Center on the North Lobby Level to receive a contractor badge. 

The badges shall be worn so that it is visible.  When the contractor(s) leave the building at the end of the workday they shall return their badges.

Contractor shall remove all existing carpet and dispose of offsite.  Do not dispose of carpet in NSF Dumpster.

Contractor shall remove any debris from site including razors, carpet scraps, trash, etc. and vacuum the area of work upon completion.

Contractor shall inspect furniture installation stability and integrity after lifting if applicable.

Limited parking is available at loading dock for trucks. 

Contractor is responsible for own parking.
