This project includes developing transportation security systems for use
in the Russian Federation, and the security team consists of members
from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Pacific Northwest Laboratory.

• Deputy Team Lead for a large, multi-disciplinary, international
program to protect special nuclear materials from theft and diversion
during transportation within Russia. Project involves industrial
engineering issues involving transportation risk and vulnerability,
technology assessments, performance metrics, process modeling and
operations, and system design.

• Prepared sorbents, catalysts, and
ceramic materials using the internal gelation process
• Participated in numerous facility decontamination campaigns addressing
safety and compliance issues; initiated corrective actions and corrected
non-conformances; prepared procedures; and served as trainer in various
functions
• Participated in a work-for-others program with local Industries
• Directed plant and equipment support work during equipment fabrication
• Guided cooperative education students in new assignments
• Obtained funding through collaborations at the laboratory and
surrounding universities
