   Your letter of Bovember 23 oame rapidly and I was pleriaed

   On returning to Cold dipring 13arbor I diticovered that the
folder for chronoaoae 10 h::d not been given to you,   1 hnve
copied the information for the a and b knobs anti for tile
distribution of Abnormal chromosome 10.   The maps s-e h@ing
aent to you eepssately by aimail at the mme tfmc3 ad this
letter,   This ie done just In cptee the larger envelope should
be delayed.   You will learn from this letter that the maps ars
on their way to you.   They need not be returned a~ I have oopiee
of them.

   I WAS most pleAsed with our meeting in Pilexico.   Much of
importance wws accomplieted and the new information ha8
strengthened the postulates that we formulated durin   our
meeting lmt January.   Since returning from Kexico f h.ive gone
over some of the data in ctn attempt to learn where the medium-knob
complex may have origin;tted.   I now suspect that this may be in
the Oaxaoa-Pueblo area of Nexioo.

   I hzve not yet oontacted Dr. Cutler. This ia because I felt
that I should review first the published s;cc:)unta of archeological
maize.  Thus, I have agafn read the papers of Mangelsdorf, &oNeiah
and Galinat.   Also, I have read some accounts of the geology and
archeology of the Americas during the past 20,000 ye:~~ra~  I needed
some of this background knowled&:e before talking vfth Cutler.
Also, I have ordered a book tbt contains a number of papers by
Sir1 Sauer.  I saw a copy of this book in our publio library and
reoognieed its eignificance for our purposes*   His map of the
migrations of man in the Amerioas looks like the ma>e we htive drawn.
I will send you a copy of this map after the book arrives.   'pihen
1 halve done a bit more reading, I shall go to St. Louis to discuss
archeological maize with Cutler,   I fill let ;rou know wktit I letrn
from him.
