The phonological system of any language is one third of the total. There is phonology, morphology and semology. The three work together in a system. Reading operates in this system and to say that one is better than the other , is taking a part out of its' context and doing away with the relationship between these three components. -----Original Message----- From: Jean Fahey [mailto:ffahey@adelphia.net] Sent: Tuesday, October 08, 2002 1:31 PM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: [NIFL-ESL:8137] Re: Phoneme-Schoneme Also, Thigh/Thy and Thistledew and This'll do are also semantic differences.
