Notes:
The San Diego American Indian Health Center is seeking a full time Billing Specialist.
Responsibilities: This fulltime position requires a minimum of 2 to 5 years experience with health care billing. Applicants must have experience with IDX billing software and knowledge of ICD 9 and CPT 4 coding. Billing Specialist will be responsible for heavy insurance follow up, posting payments, researching and reconciling accounts, insurance verification/insurance plans and producing month end reconciliation reports. Must be familiar with Medi-Cal and Medicare. Position will include other responsibilities as assigned. Experience with Indian Health Service RPMS and accounting systems desired.
Requirements: AA Degree, 3 to 5 years experience in billing. Applicants with similar experience in an outpatient ambulatory Indian healthcare environment preferred.
