    Abstract: This is a line, polygon and region coverage of the Central Arctic Management Area (CAMA) Wilderness Study Area. These boundaries were digitally created in response to IM 2000-040. Boundaries were determined using a combination of master title plats, CAMA Final Environmental Impact Statement, ANILCA sec. 1001 (a), and general land status coverage of Alaska. Boundaries were digitized on screen using USGS 15' series Digital Raster Graphic as a base map.
    Purpose:
      This dataset was generated in response to IM 2000-040, to depict those areas defined as Wilderness Study Areas (WSAs) within Alaska.  It is just a portion of a nationwide effort to assemble all WSAs and Wilderness areas into a single National Landscape Conservation System coverage.

  Logical_Consistency_Report:
    Logical errors were identified using ArcInfo LABELERRORS and NODEERRORS commands in July 2000 after the initial dataset was created. Polygons were closed and dangling nodes were removed.

    Polygon topology exists.
  Completeness_Report: This dataset was originally created in July 2000 (based on the land status at that time). It was modified in June 2003 to reflect the landstatus changes which occured between 2000 and 2003.

      Process_Description: Legal boundary originally determined from the CAMA EIS and hand drawn on 15' series quad maps. MTPs were consulted to ensure proper BLM lands were properly identified. The boundary was digitized on screen using DRGs as backdrop to duplicate lines drawn on quad maps.
