Description/Abstract A quantitative study of the hydrogen molecule in an arbitrary constant magnetic field oriented along the axis of the molecule is performed for the first time.^It is found that the molecule is stable in the entire range of fields studied (up to 10/sup 12/ G).^It is shown that at large distances, two ground-state hydrogen atoms repel each other in the presence of a field.
