| Description | We have just installed MMTx 2.2.B on our server. After altering the classpath, the program runs and accepts input. However, after any type of input, the program responds: Processing 00000000.tx.1: [input value] and then freezes. IS there something to look at in the installation itself to address this? WE have installed it, on a different server as well as on a Windows PC, previously and it worked fine. |

| Notes | The environment had two problems. The mmtx parent directory was not executable by all so the installation failed when the mysql user tried to read the data files to load. --- This need to be documented in the installation instructions. The second problem was the use of MMTx by Unix users other than the installing user. This was the cause of the hanging behavior reported here. (They failed to report the change in user.) This is a bug and needs to be fixed, but they were given the work around to change the permissions on nls/mmtx/data/2002/lexicon/infl.lg to give write permission to the world. |
