Strategic Resources Review (SRR) facility closure decisions.

NASA is considering closing or deactivating some training and test facilities in an effort to economize.

Recommendation(s):

Perform a detailed full life-cycle safety and needs analysis including consideration of critical skills before making closure decisions.

Evidence of Recurrence Control Effectiveness:

Any consideration for training or test facility closure will be based upon an appropriate risk assessment that considers their significance to the readiness level of the crews or the vehicle.
