STATION.--14299800 NEHALEM RIVER NEAR VERNONIA, OR
LOCATION.--Lat 45° 48'26", long 123° 16'55", in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.27, T.4 N., R.5 W.,
Columbia County, Hydrologic Unit 17100202, on left bank, 6 3/4 mi southwest of
Vernonia, and at mile 100.7.
DRAINAGE AREA.--69.8 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 200l to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 640 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS.--No regulation or diversion upstream from station. Computed discharge during
summer and fall months may be affected by backwater from beaver dams.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 17,500 ft3/s Dec. 3, 2007,
gage height, 19.10 ft; minimum discharge, 1.6 ft3/s Aug. 14, 2004.
