“NO JOKE ROBBER” HITS BANK OF AMERICA The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs the public’s assistance in identifying a bank robbery suspect known as the “No Joke Robber.” On August 7, 2007, at approximately 11:30 AM, the “No Joke Robber” entered the Bank of America, 909 Fannin, Houston, Texas, and approached the counter. The robber said to the teller “This is no joke. I’m not playing. This is a robbery.” The teller and the robber stared at each other, and the robber then yelled “Hurry up or I’ll shoot you!” “No Joke” then threw a paper bag on the counter and told the teller to put the money in it. The robber then exited the bank with the bag of money. No one was physically hurt. The “No Joke Robber” is described as a black male in his late 30’s –early 40’s, 5’05” to 5’06” tall, thin build, with a dark, rough complexion. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, and a tan or beige polo shirt with a stripe on the collar. The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force consists of agents from the FBI, officers from the Houston Police Department and deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s office. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of bank robbers.
