CLE Opportunity: Revised Article 9
of the UCC
The Florida Bar CLE Committee and the Business Law Section will be sponsoring a
program on complex transactional and enforcement issues of the Revised Article 9
of the Uniform Commercial Code. The seminar has been approved for 8.0 hours of CLE
credit and will take place on February 12 in Tampa and February 13 in Miami. For

Mortgage Loss Mitigation Press Release
A program for submitting loss mitigation and modification proposals to mortgage
providers will become available on a national level beginning January 1, 2009. The
program was developed in conjunction with the National Association of Chapter Thirteen

REMINDER: CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
The Administrative Procedures for Electronic Filing (Section II, B) requires attorneys
filing electronically to serve pleadings electronically to registered participants
of the ECF system. For parties who have opted out of electronic service or who are
not registered participants, attorneys are required to serve the pleading in accordance
with applicable rules. The pleading should include a Certificate of Service reflecting
which parties have been served electronically or by other means. If no Certificate
of Service is included in the pleading, an Order to Effect Service will be issued
directing you to serve the parties before the pleading can be considered.
