This report was prepared under the direction of Dr. John A. Gaudiosi, Children's Bureau, Administration on Children, Youth and Families. Under contract HHSSP233200400052U, Walter R. McDonald & Associates, Inc., in collaboration with American Humane, provides technical support and assistance for the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS), the source of the data for this report. The Technical Team Director was Ying-Ying T. Yuan, Ph.D.; and the Report Manager was Madonna Aveni.
