Washington, DC— U.S. Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) and his wife, Barbara, proudly announced the birth of their second grandchild Arijus Timothy Johnson, or Ari for short.
Ari was born on Monday, November 7. He weighed in at nine pounds and one ounce and 22 inches long.
"Barb and I are thrilled to welcome the newest member of our family. This is an exciting time for us, and we're looking forward to spending the Thanksgiving holiday with Ari and his proud parents," Johnson said.
The newest member of the Johnson family was born to the Senator's eldest son, Brooks Johnson, and his wife, Naida Snipas Johnson. Brooks is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, currently working as a recruiter in Dixon, Illinois. This is their first child.
Tim and Barb's first grandchild was born on October 26, 2003 to their son Brendan and his wife Jana, who live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
