                 PATERSON PITCHES IN FOR THE 1995 CENSUS TEST

      Paterson is gearing up for the 1995 Census Test next 
March 4.  Mayor Pascrell's office has established a Census
Community Communication Council, charged with spreading the word
to the residents of Paterson about the importance of the test. 
Its goal is to increase awareness by all groups of the city's
population, and to encourage their participation in the census.

      Brian Duncan, a long-time resident of Paterson, is the
Census Bureau representative in the city.  "The people of
Paterson look forward to the 1995 Census Test," he says.  "In
effect, we've been selected to represent millions of other
Americans as we work with the Census Bureau to develop the best
ways of taking the national census in the year 2000.  We welcome
