The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Makes Multiple Arrests

LSRFTF LogoSan Antonio, TX – Lone Star Fugitive Task Force members were busy on Wednesday as they first arrested a man in Medina County that was a Comal County 10 Most Wanted and then later arrested a man in San Antonio that was wanted by U.S. Marshals in Laredo.

The first arrest was 40 year old Comal County 10 Most Wanted Gary Russell Hoover. The Comal County Sheriff’s Office developed information that Hoover may be staying in Medina County. LSFTF members partnered with Medina County Deputy Sheriffs who led them to a possible location of a family member. When entry was made, Hoover was found sitting in a chair. Hoover made the statement that he had injected himself with drugs earlier Wednesday morning. Hoover, who has a 20 year criminal history and was on Parole, was wanted on a felony charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon as well as a 2nd charge of Felony Theft.

The second individual arrested was 22 year old Gabriel Bueno of San Antonio. Bueno was wanted on a Federal Bond violation out of Laredo, Texas. Bueno’s underlying charge was Possession of Marijuana. At the time of his arrest, Bueno was found sleeping in a bedroom and he also had Marijuana in plain view. This caused an additional arrest and charge by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on top of his Federal charges.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “The members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and those that partner with the LSFTF will continue to work to make our communities a safer place by taking dangerous criminals off of the street.”
