Computers

The UTA Monte Carlo farm consists of 25 dual-processor Micron servers.

0 runs at 550 MHz and has 512 MB memory and 18 GB of disk.
1-3 run at 500 MHz and have 256 MB memory and 69 GB disk
4-6 run at 500 MHz and have 256 MB memory and 9 GB disk
7-24 run at 833 MHz and have 512 MB memory and 20 GB disk

Tapes

The master has a Mammoth tape drive. We will add a Mammoth II drive when D0 switches to that tape format.

Network

Each of the servers is connected to a 100 Mb switch on the UTA campus network. One test indictated a bandwith of 0.5 GB/hr for data transfer to FNAL. We hope this improves when UTA moves to Internet II.
