Annuitant Indicator
Block 28

This block identifies the status of an annuitant appointed to a position in the Federal Civilian Service as follows:

1. Reemployed CSRS. An employee whose annuity under Civil Service Annuitant Retirement System continues after appointment.
   
   
2. Retired Uniformed-The employee is a member or former member of a Service Officer Uniformed Service who is receiving retired or retainer pay as a commissioned or warrant officer.
   
   
3. Retired Uniformed-The employee is a member of former member of a Service Enlisted Member Uniformed Service who is receiving retired or retainer pay for non-officer or enlisted Service.
   
   
4. Retired Uniformed. The employee is both a retired uniformed Service Officer and Service commissioned or warrant officer and a Reemployed Annuitant, reemployed CSRS annuitant and CS.
   
   
5. Retired Uniformed-The employee is both a retired Uniformed Service Enlisted Member and a reemployed CSRS and CS.
   
   
6. CS. No reduction. Reemployed CSRS annuitant not subject to salary reduction. An employee whose annuity under the Civil Service Retirement System continues after appointment and whose salary is not subject to reduction under 5 U.S.C. 8344.
   
   
7. Retired Officer/CS-Reemployed Uniformed Service Officer who is a no reduction employed CSRS annuitant not subject to salary reduction. The employee is a retired Uniformed Service commissioned or Warrant Officer and a reemployed CSRS annuitant whose salary is not subject to reduction under 5 U.S.C. 8344.
   
   
8. Retired Enlisted/CS-Retired Uniformed Service enlisted member who is a no reduction reemployed CSRS annuitant not subject to salary reduction. The employee is a retired Uniformed Service enlisted member and a reemployed CSRS annuitant whose salary is not subject to reduction under 5 U.S.C. 8344.
   
   
   1. Reemployed Annuitant. An employee whose annuity under FERS continues after appointment and is subject to salary offset.
      
      
   2. Former Annuitant FERS. An employee whose FERS annuity is discontinued after appointment.
      
      
   3. Retired Uniformed. The employee is both a retired Uniformed Service Officer and Service commissioned or Warrant officer and a reemployed FERS Annuitant.
      
      
   4. Retired Uniformed. The employee is both a retired Uniformed Service Officer and Service Commissioned or Warrant Officer and a FERS reemployed FERS Annuitant whose FERS annuity is discontinued after appointment.
      
      
   5. Retired Uniformed. The employee is both a retired Uniformed Service Enlisted Member and a reemployed FERS Annuitant whose salary is subject to offset.
      
      
   6. Retired Uniformed. The employee is both a retired Uniformed Service Enlisted Member and a reemployed FERS and Former Annuitant whose FERS annuity is discontinued after appointment.
      
      
   7. FE-No Reduction. Reemployed FERS annuitant not subject to any salary reduction. An employee whose annuity under FERS continues after appointment and whose salary is not subject to reduction under 5 U.S.C. 8468.
      
      
   8. Retired Officer/FE. Retired Uniformed Service Officer and a reemployed FERS annuitant not subject to a salary reduction. The employee is a retired Uniformed Service commissioned or warrant officer and a reemployed FERS annuitant whose salary is not subject to reduction under 5 U.S.C. 8468.
      
      
   9. Retired Enlisted/FE. Retired Uniformed Service enlisted member and reemployed FERS annuitant not subject to salary reduction. The employee is a retired uniformed Service enlisted member and a reemployed FERS annuitant whose salary is not subject to reduction under 5 U.S.C. 8468.
