               US CMS COLLABORATION MEETING
                      MAY 1, 1999

 

            Executive Board Meeting April 30

  
     Dear Colleagues,

     The 1999 Spring Meeting of the US CMS Collaboration will take place 
     at Caltech on on Saturday May 1. A meeting of the Executive Board will be held 
     Friday afternoon April 30, and there will be a Collaboration Board session Saturday 
     afternoon.

    Among the major items at this meeting: 
  

 

 *  Progress of the Project and the Subsystems:
 
 *  Approaching the Millenium 
 *  Results of the February Lehman Review
 * 
 *  US CMS Software and Computing
 * 

 *  Progress and Project
 * 
 *  ORCA: A new View (OO) of future 
    CMS physics discoveries
 *  

 *  Results of the Election of the Insitution Board Chairs
   (to take place by April) 
 *  Proposed changes to the Consitution, new officers
   and organizational changes

Side trips to Disneyland, Hollywood and other 
    cultural landmarks
