Purpose
(For more information see Fact Sheet): Increases penalties for persons
convicted of operating a watercraft while intoxicated. Requires the
Arizona Department of Transportation’s (ADOT) Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) to
order a person whose license is suspended as a result of a driving under the influence
offense to complete alcohol or other drug screening as a condition of license
reinstatement. Requires the time period that an ignition interlock device
(IID) is ordered to be reduced by six months under certain circumstances.
Expands circumstances in which an officer must serve an order of license
suspension.
