Habitat:
Highly saturated soils in moist upland areas and along
boggy sandy stream edges.
Distinguishing Characters:
Tufted carnivorous herh from a stout rhizome: leaves of
two kinds: erect, hollow, pitcher shaped leaves: and flat,
sickle-shaped leaves persistent at the base: flowers yellow,
single, and nodding on leafless stems.
Threats:
Drainage; agricultural conversion; residential development;
collecting fire suppression.
