This course is for NAS specialists and managers (Alaska only) on the Ground Base Transceiver for automated surveillance broadcast (ADS-B). The course is 16 hours of Academy lecture and 4 hours academy laboratory. Lecture subjects include introduction to broadcast services, foundation technologies, major (components), GBT functional description, operational format of service messages, system interfaces, indicators/connections, maintenance safety, corrective maintenance, and BIT equipment troubleshooting. Lab subjects include system identification, power up and checkout, verify LED operation and normal operation. |
