AMVER SEAS Set Up

The Setup Menu contains set up information for the AMVER SEAS, Administration Reports, XBT Reports, Transceiver Reports and Other Reports:

Administration Set Up: The Administration Information Dialog contains information necessary for the operation of AMVER SEAS 2000. See Administration Report.

XBT (Expendable Bathythermograph) SetUp:

The XBT enable dialog allows the user to enable operation of the XBT. The user enables XBT operation by selecting the 'Enable XBT' check box. In order to operate the XBT software the user must also select the path to the Sippican executable software module. For more information about the Expendable Bathythermograph, see XBT.

Transceiver Set Up:

The Transceiver setup dialog allows the use to enable the transceiver by selecting the 'Transceiver Enabled' check box. It also allows the user to select for 'Automatic Binary File Transmission'. When this check box is selected the program will automatically attempt to transmit a binary AMVER/SEAS report when the 'Transmit Binary' button is selected for each report. It is also important to note that when the transceiver is enabled, the number of files in the transceiver is reduced to insure that the transceiver is not over loaded. For more information see Transceiver.

Other Reports Setup:

This Enable Reports dialog allows for the user to enable or disable the 'Other' reports, Iceberg, Marine Mammal, and Buoy. To enable a report select the report check box. To disable a report deselect the report check box. When a report is enabled it shows up as enabled in the 'Other Reports' menu and it's associated button is displayed on the main menu. When it is disabled it shows up as grayed out and it's associated button is hidden.
