The Ocean County MRC is an attempt to address the greatest challenge identified during TOPOFF 3, which is staffing a POD (mass prophylaxis clinic). The unit has been formed as part of a NJ, statewide effort to develop an MRC in each county. We consistently recruit health care professionals and community volunteers to serve as MRC volunteers

Ocean County MRC volunteers assisted the Ocean County Health Department in staffing 7 flu clincs throughout the County. These seven clincs were held on 10/30, 11/10, 11/17, 11/18(2), 11/19, and 12/8.

The 3rd class of the OCMRC continued their monthly training with ICS-100

Ocean Cty started the 3rd Class of MRC volunteers with "Disaster Basics Awareness" Training at two locations within the county

The Ocean County Health Department recently celebrated the accomplishments of the second class of MRC volunteers. The volunteers were recognized at a formal dinner with a certificate and a token of thanks.
