PRESIDENT BUSH APPOINTS MICHAEL D. CREDO AS
U.S. MARSHAL FOR
EASTERN DISTRICT OF
LOUISIANA
On September 18, 2007, President Bush appointed Michael David Credo,
48 years old, as U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana
(EDLA). U.S. Marshal Credo has been a career employee with the U.S.
Marshals Service for twenty two years and served the last five years
as a Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal in the Middle District of
Louisiana, which is headquartered in Baton Rouge.
Credo is a 1976 graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School in
Metairie, LA. He also graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU)
and the U.S. Army Military Police School at Fort McClellan, Alabama.
During his career as a deputy U.S. Marshal, he worked numerous
fugitive investigations, and participated in several high profile
federal trials including the trial of the first World Trade Center
bombing in the Southern District of New York. In recent years, his
responsibilities included running the daily operations of the U.S.
Marshals Service office in Baton Rouge.
U.S. Marshal Credo stated, “I am excited about this opportunity to
return to the New Orleans area and look forward to working closely
with our federal judiciary and fellow law enforcement agencies in
efforts to reduce crime in the EDLA.” |
