Here is a short note on one way that people might run the analysis. It, by no means, covers anything but a small fraction of how to run, configure, etc. the analysis. mjl - 8/14/96 Analysis of E866 data on fn866a ------------------------------- - log into e866 on fn866a - analyze from tape: - cd analy - mount tape in /dev/rmt/8mm0 - edit "run" and make sure that environment variable DATA is set to /dev/rmt/8mm0 - or from disk: - cd io - mount tape in /dev/rmt/8mm0 - run (read tape into temp.tap) - over analy - edit "run" to set environment variable DATA to ~/io/temp.tap - then analyze it: - nohup nice run >& run.log & - histograms saved to run.his (see list on e866 WWW) (Analysis needs NFS mount of /fn789/dua1/usr1/e789/ras in order to get the BOR and EOS records that go with the data off the tape. If this directory can't be seen because of an NFS failure call MJL to redo the NFS mounts) -- Michael J. Leitch Phone: (505)667-5481 P-25, M.S.
