2/28/2000 Steve Blusk Hi all, CM Lei and I discussed a couple of changes to the junction card support structure. 1. Add a 1/8" space on the underside of the card to allow for any nylon bolts which may be needed for strain-relief of the cables. (also any residual solder near the connector posts) 2. The outermost support disk will be moved inward to 1.5" inboard from the edge of the larger card. This is because the highest profile of the junction card will be at the Sense connector, which is near to the edge of the card. Three low voltage cables have to also pass over this connector, and so this region consumes alot of radial space. By moving the support in, this region does not have to "clear" the opening in the support structure. 3. Reduction of mass?? Can we reduce the disks to 1/8"? CM is going to add changes 1-2 and redo the layout. We then should move quickly to a full-size prototype. What about Item#3. I say we try to goto 1/8".... Comments? Thanks Steve
