It had been 15 days since I had addressed a public audience on the AIDS epidemic.

I was in Albuquerque for other government reasons, presenting an address primarily to
medical students and faculty at the New Mexico Medical Center in Albuquerque. This
was an add-on. With so many speeches to prepare, I presented "Current Issues in AIDS"
which I had presented last to the Bexar County Medical Society in San Antonio, Texas on
January 25,1989, which was a redo of the original speech I gave to the American
Council on Life Insurance in New York on the 15th of November, 1988.

Except for changing things to make it appropriate to this audience, there are no new
salient facts about the AIDS epidemic, and there is no index.
