Acting Principal Officer Geeta Pasi Addresses American-German Business Club

May 9, 2006. Acting Principal Officer Geeta Pasi addressed a meeting of the American-German Business Club at the Frankfurt Marriott on Tuesday, May 9th. AGBC member Klaus Nierendorf introduced Ms. Pasi by noting her successful career in the Foreign Service, highlighting her previous assignment as the senior desk officer for Afghanistan before coming to Frankfurt. The speech, entitled '21st Century Diplomacy', focused on America's changing foreign service goals and policies in order to adapt to a more globalized world. Afterwards, Ms. Pasi answered questions from the assembled guests about how people and governments need to change in order to be successful in the 21st Century, American policies towards the United Nations, and about her next assignment as Deputy Chief of Mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
