DCL-99-08 Feb 5, 1999

TO: ALL FEDERAL AGENCIES

RE: New Hire and Quarterly Wage Data Summary

Dear Colleague:

As you know, Federal agencies began submitting information on newly hired employees to the National Directory of New Hires (NDNH) on October 1, 1997, and quarterly wage information on all Federal employees on January 1, 1998. In a continuous effort to maintain the quality of child support data and to provide you with feedback on your submissions, we have prepared four tables containing information about your Agency’s New Hire (NH) and Quarterly Wage (QW) data from the first year of NDNH operation. Please review this information carefully.

Table 1 (NH data from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998) and Table 3 (QW data from January 1, 1998 to September 30, 1998) provide the following information:

Table 2 and Table 4 are included if your Agency reports data to the NDNH on behalf of other Federal agencies or reports are made on your agency’s behalf by another Federal agency. Table 2 (NH data from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998) and Table 4 (QW data from January 1, 1998 to September 30, 1998) provide the following information:

Thank you for your help as we work together to improve the lives of our nation’s children.

Sincerely,

David Gray Ross
Commissioner
Office of Child Support Enforcement
