The anemone crab is brownish-purple to orange with silver or green eyes. They can grow to 2 inches and can carry up to 6 anemones on their shell. Hiding during the day, these crabs forage on the reef at night. They can be found from the intertidal zone down to depths greater than 100 feet.

The status of this species is representative of the populations within the waters of this Sanctuary only, not global populations.
	The anemone crab carries around two species of anemone attached to it shell. While the anemone provide camouflage and protection to the crab, they receive mobility and food.
