Anemone Crab - Dardanus gemmatus

The anemone crab is brownish-purple to orange with silver or green eyes. They can grow to 2 inches and can carry up to 6 anemones on their shell. Hiding during the day, these crabs forage on the reef at night. They can be found from the intertidal zone down to depths greater than 100 feet.
