Wichita Mid-Continent Airport

Wichita Mid-Continent Airport is s city owned and operated airport with a location identifier of ICT. the airport is located approximately 6 miles southwest of downtown Wichita, KS.

 
Wichita has four areas requiring close attention from all pilots utilizing the airport. They are as follows:

1. Taxiway C between taxiway D and taxiway BB.

2. Taxiway CC between taxiway D and taxiway B.

3. The intersection of taxiway C-1 and runway 14/32 and the intersection of taxiway C-2 and taxiway D.

(these intersections have numerous crossing taxiways which can make it confusing to the pilot)

4. The intersections of taxiway B and B-1 joining runway 1R/19L. (numerous crossings from the Cessna Factory and the possible confusion in taxiing to runway 1R, make this a "hot spot" for potential runway incursions)

The airport, tower, and approach control are open 24 hours a day/seven days a week. The field elevation is 1332 MSL.

Runway 14: REIL, VASI

Runway 32: REIL, VASI

Approach Control east of Mid-Continent at and above 4500 MSL: 134.85

Approach Control east of Mid-Continent at and below 4000 MSL: 134.8

Approach Control west of Mid-Continent: 126.7

Approach Control in the HUT area: 125.5

Approach Control in the EWK area: 126.55

Departure Frequencies: Westbound - 126.7 Eastbound - 134.85
