All of these burn sites are located at elevations above 4000 feet. The microclimate in this area will be heavily influenced by the high elevation.

Considerations: The eye level wind is critical and should be below 8 mph. Prefer to burn on sunny days with west wind and good smoke dispersion.

Helpful hints...

-Use lapse rates (3.5 deg per thousand feet) to compute temperatures.
-20 ft winds will be similar to 850 mb wind forecasts.
