Date: 09/16/2000 10:00 PM Subject: File No. S7-13-00 I find it absolutely important that auditors and consultants be completely separated. As a former corporate employee, I know the closeness that exists between the two supposedly distinct disciplines. Actually, the "wall" that separates them doesn't exist at all. As an investor who has never been an accountant, I would welcome some form of distinct, complete separation. This is in the best interests of the companies that are being served by the two, respective disciplines. And, without a doubt, it is in the best interests of all investors, large and small. W.
