Several groups of American doctors visited Guayaquil during the past three weeks, sponsored by different local social organizations. The doctors volunteered their time and effort to offer medical assistance in well known Guayaquil hospitals and performed free operations that benefit of hundreds of Ecuadorian children and adults.
In recognition of their service to Guayaquil, the Consulate General presented the medical missions certificates of recognition, given during the visits of the Consul General and the chief of Consular Section to the hospitals where the surgeries were performed.
The visit of Medical for Missions Children came with the support of the Nahím Isaias Foundation; Annie’s Angels Medical Group arrived with the sponsorship of the Damian House Foundation and El Cielo para los Niños del Ecuador Foundation made the visit of Mending Kids possible. These medical missions performed harelip and cleft palate surgeries; implemented prosthetic knee replacements and did nerve decompression surgeries; and conducted open heart surgeries and angiograms, respectively.
