Abstract:
This data set consists of the priority watershed boundaries of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Gulf of Mexico Program. The boundaries were generated using the U.S. Geological Survey's 8 digit hydrologic unit data set. The watersheds define the area that are of importance to the Gulf of Mexico Program (GMPO), and were selected according to the GMPO criteria. The watersheds are based on the National Estuary Program (NEP) and the National Estuarine Research Reserves (NERR) project areas.
Purpose:
To display the boundaries of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Gulf of Mexico Program priority watersheds.
