METAL/NONMETAL MINE FATALITY - On December 14, 1995, a dozer operator with four years of mining experience was killed at a limestone quarry. There were no witnesses to the accident. It is believed that the employee bumped a lever on the dozer as he was exiting the cab which put the dozer in motion. The dozer ran over the victim and continued over the bench. The victim died of crushing injuries. This is the 48th fatality reported in calendar year 1995 in the metal and nonmetal mining industries. As of this date in 1994, there were 40 fatalities reported in these industries. This is the eighth fatality classified as machinery this year. There were six machiner
