"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education,
and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a
poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward
after death."

High School Physics Teachers' Day
The 2005 Particle Accelerator Conference (PAC05) and the Division of Physics
of Beams (DPB) of the American Physical Society
(APS) sponsored a High
School Physics Teachers’ Day on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, to be
held as part of PAC05 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This Teachers’ Day,
which was free, provided a full day of professional development geared
to physics teachers:
About 40 teachers participated in this workshop and received the paperwork needed to receive continuing
education credits from the American Association of Physics Teachers.
The Spallation Neutron
Source is managed by UT-Battelle, LLC, for the US Department of Energy.
Site hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
