Current Primary Research Interests: Pharmacology and Toxicology

  • Behavioral pharmacology and toxicology emphasizing cognitive function deficiencies as indicators of toxicity, developmental perturbations and aging.
  • Operant behavioral analyses for quantifying brain functions in children and animal models, particularly nonhuman primates, for animal-to-human extrapolations.
  • Demonstrating correlations between operant behaviors and other measures of complex brain function in humans (i.e., IQ scores).
  • The pharmacology and toxicology of antiepileptic drugs.
  • Developmental pharmacology and toxicology
  • Psychotropic drug effects.
