Senior Research Associate or Research Associate (Molecular Biology/Enzymology)

Job Description:

Edenspace Systems Corporation, a commercial leader in the use of plants for environmental protection and renewable fuels, is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and energetic professionals to join the Molecular Biology and Enzymology team at the company’s headquarters in Manhattan, Kansas. Successful candidates will participate in the development and analysis of transgenic maize, switchgrass and other crops for improved biofuel traits.

Experience and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a MS or BS in Biology, Biochemistry or related fields with 2-5 years of experience in a biotechnology research lab.  Candidates with experience in Molecular Biology techniques such as DNA and RNA analysis, vector construction, PCR, protein expression and purification, and enzyme kinetics are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be a positive self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoys working in a team environment and is flexible and able to work on different assignments as needed. Position will be relocated in 2008 to Edenspace’s new 20,000 square foot, state-of-the-art crop biotechnology facility in Junction City, Kansas.
