Currently, only certain courtrooms are equipped with high-tech equipment.  The following courtroom summary identifies what equipment is available in each courtroom

Omaha Court of Appeals

  • Video Conferencing - 4 fixed cameras - one per judge on bench, and one for lectern
  • Timing Lights - circuit requirement
  • Composite Video / S-Video / Audio / Computer inputs at counsel tables.    Video would display on two large monitors near bench.
  • Audio in / audio out  connections under courtroom deputy bench.    Requires RCA type connectors or 1/4" phono type connectors.
  • Telephone system tied to sound system.
  • Wired so that display cart can be connected by lectern.   Output would show on monitors at counsel tables and on two large monitors near bench.
  • 2 channel infrared transmitter - one channel for hearing impaired purposes, the other for second language (if interpreter is being used).

Special Proceedings (Courtroom 1)

  • Video Conferencing - 3 fixed cameras; judge, witness, lectern
  • Evidence Presentation System - VCR, computer and sound inputs, illustrator, printer. Composite Video / S-Video / Audio / Computer inputs at rear counsel tables.  Video at attorney tables or from Evidence Presentation cart would display on judge monitor, courtroom deputy monitor, witness monitor, monitors on counsel tables, and two large monitors, one located in front of the jury box and the other to the side of the jury box.
  • Audio in / audio out  connections under courtroom deputy bench.    Requires RCA type connectors or 1/4" phono type connectors.
