Yuma Arizona Slides

Photo taken on March 19, 1992 in an inner dunal looking northwest toward part of the Algodones Dunes complex shown in the background.. Surface features show sandy material overlain by perennial trees and shrubs and with an unusually vigerous cover of annual weeds and flowers as a result of high antecendent precipitation --- this ground photo corresponds closely to the Arpil 4, 1992 satellite overflight/wet season.

Same area as the photo above, but acquired on June 30, 1992. The annuals have died, leaving woody material that will soon be removed by wind action and blown away --- this ground photo corresponds closely to the July 1, 1992 satellite overflight/dry season.
