General Safety

Demonstrate safety practices when performing tasks and using tools. Proper safety attire and equipment. Operate fire safety equipment properly. Ability to lift and carry materials properly. Ability to handle and store chemicals according to OSHA and MSDA requirements.

Carpentry Maintenance

Safe use of hand and power tools. Replace/repair/install siding, exterior trim, roof flashing, roofing, downspouts and guttering. Perform weatherizing procedures. Repair drywall/plaster walls.

Concrete and Masonry Maintenance

Safe use of hand and power tools. Set forms, mix concrete, mix mortar and patch and repair surfaces.

Surface Finishing and Sealing (Drywall and Wood)

Plumbing Maintenance

Safe use of hand and power tools. Cut, clean, replace and assemble various plumbing fixtures and accesories.

Electrical Maintenance

Safe use of hand and power tools. Troubleshoot and repair/replace outlets, switches, fuses and fixtures. Wire 120V circuits and low voltage circuits.

Environmental Control Systems

Replace/adjust belts and lubricate bearings. Clean condenser units and evaporator coils. Replace filters.

Building Safety Systems

Locate shut-offs for electrical and plumbing fixtures. Check and replace smoke detector batteries. Maintain emergency lighting, exit lights and signs.

Groundskeeping

Use and maintain equipment and hand tools. Maintain grounds and prune trees/shrubs.
