This is a really bad idea. I signed up for the do not call list for one reason, I do not want to be called. I don't care if I have done business with the company. I just want to be left alone. If I want something, I will go out and find it on my own. I already get numerous messages left on my answering machine. These messages just consist of a few seconds of silence. Luckily these blank messages are not enough to fill up my answering machine. If you allow companies to leave pre-recorded messages on my answering machine, I am afraid that they will fill up all of the recording time. Then, I will miss important messages from family and friends. How would you like to miss a message saying that a family member is in the hospital because a company wants to sign you up for a credit protection service. This is a terrible idea and I hope that it never happens.
