Regulation of Calcium Uptake in Neuroblastoma or Hybrid Cells - A Possible Mechanism for Synapse Plasticity

This abstract presents the findings from one of a series of studies demonstrating the value of neuroblastoma research. This study suggests that because calcium uptake is regulated by cyclic AMP it is possible to have defective cells or receptors that interfere with the process and lead to potential long term health risks.
