Hawaiian paddle grass is a small seagrass with smooth paddle-shaped leaves connected by underground stems. It is a shallow subtidal species that prefers calm, flat, and sandy areas. Hawaiian paddle grass is an endemic species that is found only in the waters around the Hawaiian Islands.
