Benguela - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will render food aid to more than one million Angolans in the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bie, Kwanza-Sul and Huila, in the ambit of a programme named ``Food for peace in Angola``, during this year.
The fact was revealed over the weekend, in Lobito city, coastal Benguela province, by its representative in the country, Diana Swaine, at the hand over ceremony of 3000 tonnes of cereals, donated by the North-American organisation.
Mrs Swaine added that the USAID has prepared nearly 32,000 tonnes of foodstuff, in order to give assistance to farmers engaged in the current agricultural campaign.
