Gladewater Corsairs Composite Squadron's Mouton recognized for achievements, recommendation for Air Force Academy

TEXAS -- The Gladewater City Council recently recognized the cadet commander of the local Civil Air Patrol unit, Cadet Maj. Stephen Mouton, with a proclamation commending him for his scholastic endeavors, civic achievements as a delegate to Boy's State, accomplishments in CAP and recent recommendation to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Gladewater Mayor John Tallent presented Mouton, a member of the Gladewater Corsairs Composite Squadron, with the proclamation. 

Mouton 
has been a CAP member for six years. He has completed the Texas Wing Solo Flight Encampment and is completing training to obtain his private pilot's license. In addition to his nomination to the Air Force Academy, Mouton had been accepted to attend the University of Arkansas, where he plans to study engineering while awaiting a class assignment at the academy.

At the City Council presentation, he was accompanied by 1st  Lt Harold Parks, squadron commander, and Cadet Senior Master Sgt. Jarrod Alexander and Cadet Chief Master Sgt. Andrew Alexander, members of the squadron's cadet senior staff.
