Fish and Wildlife Service Notice of Receipt of Applications for Permit The following applicants have applied for a permit to conduct certain activities with endangered species. This notice is provided pursuant to Section 10(c) of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (16 U.S.C. 1531, et seq.): PRT-802298 Applicant: National Zoological Park, Washington, D.C. The applicant requests a permit to import skin biopsy samples and/ or samples of blood and semen from cheetah (Acionyx jubatus), from Kruger National Park, Republic of South Africa for the purpose of enhancement of the species through scientific research. PRT-802458 Applicant: Arturo J. Gutierrez, Weston, MA The applicant requests a permit to import one male bontebok (Damaliscus pygarcus dorcas) culled from the captive herd maintained by Mr. F.W.M. Bowker, Jr., Grahamstown, Republic of South Africa, for the purpose of enhancement of the species.
